Awakening to Spring
A Yoga and Painting Workshop - Sunday April 25th, 9 am - 1 pm,
with Marnie Bacon, yoga instructor and Sally Dean, artist
Start your day off with gentle yoga, accessible to everyone, in the tranquil Phoenix Gallery
of the museum. There, under the magnolia blossoms of the Tiffany stained glass we learn
how, through breath, posture and movement, the body's natural vitality is awakened. Stress
is released, the body and mind are prepared for meditation and your creativity is unleashed.
For the second portion of the workshop, we will move over to The Art Complex Studio. After
a short demo, we will work with ink and acrylics on rice paper to create unique paintings
of local blooming flora.
The workshop will close with a meditation. You will return home refreshed and inspired.
All supplies are included. But bring your own if you wish to.
This workshop is open to teens and adults of all levels. No experience necessary.
A mid-morning snack will also be provided.

Syma is back!
Join us at the Art Complex studio for an afternoon family workshop to create
imaginative, not-for-real-food, clay plates and bowls, using Syma's faux-Greek pottery
technique.
Saturday, May 1, 1pm -5 pm
$40.00 includes all materials and firing.
