The Asian Collection
Tea House - Wind in the Pines
The history of the Asian collection at the Art Complex Museum is, in many ways, a history of the museum itself. The major components of the
collection, with only a few exceptions, came together before the museum was founded. Indeed, the museum was the result, and not the purpose, of
the building of a collection. When viewed as a part of the overall permanent collection at the Art Complex Museum, the Asian holdings reflect the
awakening of new artistic interests, among members of an American family, the Carl Weyerhaeusers.
